- Begin with the vehicle parked and the interior temperature at room level. Avoid installation in very cold conditions as adhesive bond strength may be reduced.
- Thoroughly clean the existing window switch surround area using an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) wipe or equivalent. Remove all dust, oil, and residue from the surface. Allow to dry completely — this is the most important step for long-term adhesion.
- Dry-fit the trim panel against the switch surround to confirm alignment and fitment before committing. Check that all edges sit flush and the switch apertures line up correctly.
- Peel the protective backing from the pre-applied automotive adhesive tape on the reverse of the trim panel.
- Carefully position the trim panel over the switch surround, aligning from one edge and pressing down progressively to avoid trapping air bubbles beneath the panel.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface for 30–60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond. Pay particular attention to the corners and edges.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before subjecting the trim to any stress or heavy use.
