- Ensure your Defender's interior is clean and dry. Wipe down the existing AC knob and audio trim areas with a microfibre cloth to remove any dust or residue.
- Carefully remove the existing OEM plastic knob covers by gripping firmly and pulling directly away from the fascia. They will release from the factory post with light pressure — do not twist.
- For the audio circle trim rings, locate the trim clip points around the perimeter and gently lever from one edge using your fingertip or a soft plastic pry tool if preferred.
- Align each new aluminum knob cover over the corresponding factory post, pressing firmly and evenly until you feel it seat securely with a positive click.
- Position each audio circle trim ring and press around the perimeter to engage all clip points. Run your finger around the edge to confirm full contact.
- Test each climate control knob through its full range of movement to confirm unrestricted operation before completing the installation.
