- Ensure the centre console and gear shift surround area is clean, dry and free from dust or grease before beginning.
- Carefully remove the original gear shift surround trim piece from the console — it is typically held in place by retaining clips and can be gently prised free using a trim tool or flat-bladed implement wrapped in cloth to protect surrounding surfaces.
- Dry-fit the carbon fibre surround to confirm alignment with the console opening and all surrounding trim edges before committing to final fitment.
- Where adhesive backing is used, remove the protective film and press the surround firmly into position, applying even pressure across the surface for a minimum of 30 seconds.
- Where clips are provided, engage each clip fully until you hear or feel a secure click into the corresponding recess.
- Step back and inspect the fit from multiple angles. Ensure no edges are proud of the surrounding surface and that alignment is consistent on all sides.
Note: If your Evoque is a 2018 facelift model, please verify the console layout against your existing trim piece before fitting.
