- Ensure the vehicle is parked securely and all mirrors are in the retracted or neutral position before beginning.
- Using a plastic trim removal tool, carefully prise the factory mirror cap away from the housing — start at the lower rear edge to avoid marking the door panel or surrounding paintwork.
- Disconnect any wiring clips attached to the factory cap (if applicable on your specific configuration) and set the original cap aside.
- Align the carbon fibre replacement cap with the mirror housing mount points, ensuring all locating tabs and clips are correctly seated before applying pressure.
- Press firmly around the perimeter of the cap until all clips engage with an audible click. Reconnect any wiring if previously disconnected.
- Repeat the process for the opposite side. Inspect both caps from a distance to confirm even alignment and consistent gap to the mirror housing body.
