Installation
📌 Installation Overview
Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 1.5–2.5 hours | Tools Needed: Panel removal tools, screwdrivers, wire crimpers (optional)
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to cut all power to the vehicle's electrical system.
- Remove the dashboard trim panels and bezel around the original radio unit using panel removal tools. Take care to avoid scratching the plastic.
- Unbolt the factory radio from the mounting bracket and unplug all connectors (antenna, power, speaker, steering wheel controls).
- Install the new unit into the dashboard opening, ensuring it sits flush and secure in the mounting bracket.
- Connect the power harness to the vehicle's power supply; match the wiring diagram included with the unit.
- Plug in the antenna connector and speaker connectors, ensuring each is seated firmly.
- If using a backup camera, connect the camera input to the designated port on the rear of the unit.
- Route all wiring harnesses neatly behind the dashboard to avoid pinching or obstruction.
- Reinstall the dashboard trim panels, ensuring all clips and screws are secure.
- Reconnect the battery, power on the unit, and test all functions: touchscreen, CarPlay, microphone, and steering wheel controls.
