Installation Notes

- Park the Defender on a flat surface, switch off the ignition, and allow the engine to cool completely before beginning.
- Open the bonnet and locate the retaining clips securing the factory front grille to the bumper surround — these are typically accessible from behind the front fascia.
- Carefully release each clip using a trim removal tool, working from the outer edges inward to avoid stressing the surround. Disconnect the factory grille and set it aside safely.
- Locate the front lighting loom connector behind the grille aperture. Connect the supplied plug-and-play harness to the OEM connector — the terminals are keyed and will only mate in the correct orientation.
- Route the harness neatly behind the fascia, securing any excess with the provided cable ties to prevent contact with moving components.
- Align the LED Front Grille V3 with the factory mounting aperture and press firmly from the centre outward until all clips engage and the grille sits flush.
- Connect the LED harness to the grille's input connector, switch on the ignition, and verify DRL operation before closing the bonnet.
⚠️ Important: Always disconnect the vehicle's battery negative terminal before working near any electrical connectors if you are unfamiliar with live-circuit handling. If your Defender is under manufacturer warranty, consult your retailer before modifying any exterior components.
