- Park your vehicle safely and turn off the ignition. Allow the steering wheel to cool to room temperature if the cabin has been in direct sunlight.
- Using a clean microfibre cloth, thoroughly wipe down the steering wheel button surround area to remove all dust, fingerprints, and any polish residue. The surface must be completely clean and dry for optimal adhesion.
- Carefully peel the backing film from the pre-applied adhesive tape on both trim pieces — avoid touching the adhesive surface.
- Align the first trim piece over the left-hand button cluster, confirming it sits flush and centred before pressing down firmly for 10–15 seconds.
- Repeat the process for the right-hand piece, applying firm, even pressure across the full surface once positioned correctly.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 30 minutes before normal driving — avoid touching or adjusting the trim pieces during this period.
⚠ Important: Do not clean the contact area with silicone-based products or wax prior to fitting — these will compromise adhesion. If removing the trim in future, use dental floss or thin fishing line to gently cut through the adhesive layer from left to right to avoid marking the original steering wheel surface.
