- Ensure your vehicle has a factory-fitted wired Android Auto system. If in doubt, plug your Android phone into the car's USB port — if Android Auto launches, you're compatible.
- Plug the Wireless Android Auto Adapter into your car's USB port (the same port you previously used for your wired Android Auto connection).
- Start your engine. The adapter will power on and enter pairing mode — indicated by a solid or flashing LED on the dongle.
- On your Android phone, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Open the Android Auto app if it does not launch automatically.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone with the adapter via Bluetooth. The adapter will then switch to a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection for full wireless operation.
- Once the initial pairing is complete, your phone will connect automatically every time you start the car — no further action required.
⚠ Important: This adapter is designed exclusively for Android Auto. It will not function with Apple CarPlay systems. Your vehicle must have factory Android Auto — aftermarket head unit compatibility is not guaranteed. Only one phone can be actively paired at a time; to switch to a different phone, repeat the initial pairing process.
