Drain the coolant: Place a collection pan under the radiator drain plug. Open the radiator cap and slowly drain the system to prevent splashing and minimize coolant loss.

Locate the old hose: Identify which hose you are replacing (upper or lower). Trace it from the radiator to the engine block connection.

Loosen clamps: Using a flathead or Phillips screwdriver, loosen the hose clamps at both ends. Slide clamps back along the hose.

Disconnect and remove: Gently twist and pull the old hose away from both connection ports. Some coolant may still remain; keep your collection pan nearby.

Inspect connection ports: Wipe the radiator and engine block ports clean with a lint-free cloth. Check for corrosion or damage.

Install new hose: Slide the new hose onto both connection points. Ensure it seats fully and evenly on each port.

Tighten clamps: Slide clamps back into position over the hose ends. Tighten firmly—snug but not over-tight (avoid stripping the hose material).

Refill coolant: Pour fresh coolant/antifreeze back into the system until it reaches the full mark. Replace the radiator cap.

Bleed air: Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Listen for hissing or gurgling; top up as needed.
