3.0L V6 Heater Manifold Tube with Integrated Sensor

OEM-spec coolant water pipe for Discovery LR4, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport – maintains precise engine temperature control.

Discovery LR4 Range Rover L405 2013–2020 Range Rover Sport L494 2013–2020 Plastic Construction Temperature Sensor Integrated Direct OEM Replacement

Why This Matters

Your Range Rover or Discovery's 3.0L V6 Supercharged engine depends on precise coolant distribution. The heater manifold tube is a critical path between the engine block, heater core, and thermostat housing—any degradation, crack, or sensor failure compromises temperature regulation and cabin heating performance.

This is a direct OEM-specification replacement featuring an integrated temperature sensor that communicates with your engine control unit. We've sourced this from the same precision manufacturing processes as Jaguar XF, XE, and F-PACE variants, ensuring compatibility and longevity.

Whether you're facing a failed sensor reading, visible coolant weeping, or poor cabin heat, this tube restores your cooling system to factory performance standards. Comes as a pair (left and right circuits) for complete system confidence.

Installation Overview

Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 2–3 hours

  1. Disconnect battery negative terminal. Always start with a cold engine (20+ minutes after shutdown).
  2. Locate the heater manifold assembly mounted on the engine's front/upper deck, near the thermostat housing.
  3. Drain coolant system into a clean container. Mark the exact coolant type (OAT, HOAT, etc.) for refill.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the temperature sensor (usually blue or green housing).
  5. Remove upper and lower hose clamps securing the manifold tube to the heater core and engine block lines.
  6. Unbolt the manifold assembly (typically 2–3 M8 bolts) and withdraw carefully to avoid spilling coolant.
  7. Clean all mounting faces and hose ports with a lint-free cloth. Inspect hoses for cracks or perishing.
  8. Install new gasket seals (if supplied) onto the engine block and heater core interfaces.
  9. Position the new manifold tube assembly and align bolt holes. Insert bolts hand-tight first.
  10. Torque bolts to 20–25 Nm in a cross pattern. Do not over-tighten (risk of plastic cracking).
  11. Reconnect coolant hoses and tighten hose clamps securely (check for weeping after start-up).
  12. Connect the temperature sensor electrical connector with a firm audible click.
  13. Refill coolant system with OEM specification fluid. Bleed air by running the heater on high for 2–3 minutes.
  14. Reconnect battery, start engine, and monitor temperature gauge. Cabin heater should warm within 30 seconds.
  15. Recheck all connections after 5 minutes of idle. No steam, no pooling coolant = success.
⚠ Important: Coolant is toxic. Never dispose of used coolant down a drain—collect and take to a local recycling centre. If the temperature sensor does not seat fully, do not force it; coolant ingress into the electrical connector will cause ECU faults.

Ready to Restore Cooling Confidence

A failing heater manifold tube doesn't just rob you of cabin warmth—it risks engine overheat codes and reduced performance. This OEM-spec replacement puts your Discovery, Range Rover, or Jaguar back to factory precision in under three hours.
