Overview
The coolant water pipe assembly is a critical component in the engine cooling circuit of modern Range Rovers, Range Rover Sports, Discoveries, and Velars. Over time, rubber gaskets and seals degrade under thermal stress, leading to coolant leaks, overheating, and potential engine damage. This comprehensive repair kit addresses those wear points with OEM-specification copper and rubber parts, restoring coolant integrity without requiring a full system replacement.
Built to factory standards, this kit is engineered for the 5.0L V8 engines in Range Rover (2010–2012) and Range Rover Sport (2014–), as well as the 3.0L V6 petrol engines found in Discovery 4 (LR4), all-new Discovery (2017–), and Range Rover Velar (2017–). The premium copper components resist corrosion and maintain compatibility with all coolant types, while the reinforced rubber ensures a lasting seal under sustained heat and pressure.
Professional installation is recommended, though the modular design allows for staged replacement of individual components if needed. A complete restoration kit—available in single, 5-pack, or 10-pack quantities—makes this ideal for workshop environments or fleets requiring preventive cooling system overhauls.

Installation Guide
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Time: 1–2 hours
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and allow the engine to cool completely.
- Locate the coolant water pipe assembly beneath the inlet manifold (upper driver's side on V8 engines; center intake area on V6 engines).
- Unbolt the old pipe assembly using a 10mm socket and secure the engine block with a jack and wood block if needed for access.
- Remove all old gaskets and rubber seals; use a gasket scraper to clean the mating surfaces down to bare metal.
- Inspect the new copper pipe for any manufacturing burrs; smooth with fine emery cloth if present.
- Install new rubber gaskets on both ends, then slide the copper pipe into place, aligning all threaded holes.
- Reinstall bolts in a star pattern, tightening to 24 Nm (18 ft-lb) on V8 engines and 20 Nm (15 ft-lb) on V6 engines.
- Top up coolant reservoir with OEM-approved coolant and bleed the system at the highest bleed screw (typically on the thermostat housing).
- Run the engine at idle for 10 minutes, then check all connection points for weeps under load.
- Allow the engine to cool, then top up coolant level once more before road testing.
⚠ Important: Never open the coolant system on a hot engine. Always drain and dispose of coolant responsibly at an approved recycling facility. Check your vehicle's service manual for exact torque settings and bleed screw locations, as these vary by engine type.
