- Begin with the vehicle parked and the interior at room temperature. Avoid installing in cold or excessively hot conditions, as this can affect adhesive performance.
- Thoroughly clean the gear shifter housing surface using an isopropyl alcohol wipe or microfibre cloth. Remove any dust, oils, or residue — the surface must be completely dry before proceeding.
- Dry-fit the carbon fiber style cover against the gear shifter to confirm alignment and fitment before committing to adhesion.
- Peel back the protective film from the adhesive backing, taking care not to touch the adhesive surface with your fingers.
- Align the cover precisely to the gear shifter housing, starting from one edge, and press firmly across the entire surface to ensure full contact with the adhesive.
- Apply firm pressure for 30–60 seconds across all areas of the cover, paying extra attention to the edges and corners.
- Allow a minimum of 30 minutes before normal use to allow the adhesive to fully bond to the surface.
⚠ Important: Do not apply to a dirty, oily, or recently cleaned surface that hasn't fully dried. Inadequate surface preparation is the most common cause of adhesion failure. If removal is required, apply gentle heat with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive before peeling back slowly to avoid surface damage.
