- Thoroughly clean the grab frame surface using an isopropyl alcohol wipe or equivalent degreaser. Remove any dust, oils, or residue. Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding.
- Warm the pre-applied 3M adhesive tape on each trim piece using a hairdryer on a low heat setting for 20–30 seconds. This activates the adhesive and significantly improves initial bond strength.
- Peel back the adhesive liner from the first trim piece. Carefully position the trim over the grab frame, starting from one end and pressing progressively along the length to avoid air bubbles or misalignment.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface of the trim for 30–60 seconds to ensure full contact between the adhesive and the substrate.
- Repeat the process for the second trim piece on the opposite side. Allow a minimum of 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before subjecting the area to heavy use.
