- Dry-fit each ring against its corresponding knob to confirm alignment and positioning before committing to adhesion.
- Gently warm the 3M adhesive backing using a heat gun or hair dryer for 10–15 seconds — this is especially important in cooler climates to ensure a strong initial bond.
- Peel the adhesive backing and carefully align the ring from one edge, pressing firmly outward to avoid air pockets.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the full ring surface for 60–90 seconds. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before repeated use.
