Installation Notes
Difficulty: Moderate · Estimated Time: 60–90 minutes · Tools Required: Trim removal tools, screwdrivers
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before beginning any wiring work to prevent electrical faults.
- Using plastic trim removal tools, carefully prise away the centre console surround panel around the existing head unit — work from the edges inward to avoid scratching the fascia.
- Remove the factory head unit by unscrewing the mounting bolts (typically four screws in the double-DIN cage) and slide the unit forward to disconnect the existing wiring looms.
- Connect the supplied vehicle-specific wiring harness to the Android unit, matching each connector. Plug in the GPS antenna cable and route it toward the windscreen or dashboard for signal clarity.
- Connect the radio antenna adapter to retain AM/FM reception, and route the microphone cable to a discreet position near the driver's sun visor or A-pillar.
- Slide the new unit into the double-DIN aperture and secure with the provided mounting brackets. Reattach the fascia trim surround and centre console panel.
- Reconnect the vehicle battery, power on the unit, and confirm GPS lock, Bluetooth pairing, radio reception, and steering wheel control functionality before finalising the installation.
Important: This unit is designed to replace factory CD or DVD player configurations only. It is not compatible with vehicles fitted with the original Land Rover factory navigation system.
