Installation
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Time: 2–3 Hours
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical damage
- Remove the factory radio bezel using supplied trim tools (do not force)
- Unplug the factory head unit from the wiring harness and antenna connector
- Inspect the mounting bracket and ensure it aligns with your dash opening
- Connect the installation harness to the new Tesla screen unit
- Install the harness connectors to your vehicle's factory radio connectors
- Route power and ground cables behind the dash to the battery (positive) and chassis ground (negative)
- Secure the Tesla screen unit into the dash cavity using the mounting bracket and supplied hardware
- Test all functions before reassembling trim panels (audio, Bluetooth, CarPlay, navigation)
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal and power on the system
- Install the factory bezel back around the screen unit
Important: We strongly recommend professional installation if you are not experienced with automotive electrical systems. Improper wiring may damage your vehicle's electrical system or void your warranty.
