- Begin with the vehicle parked in a clean, dry environment at room temperature. Ensure the interior door panels are free from dust, grease, and moisture.
- Use an isopropyl alcohol wipe to thoroughly clean each door handle recess area and allow to dry completely — this is the single most important step for long-term adhesion.
- Dry-fit each trim piece to its corresponding door position before committing, confirming alignment and orientation against the handle recess profile.
- Peel the protective backing from the adhesive tape on the first trim piece. Carefully position it against the door handle recess, starting from one edge and pressing progressively across the surface.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire face of the trim for 30–60 seconds to fully activate the adhesive bond.
- Repeat for all remaining trim pieces, working methodically around the vehicle. Allow at least 24 hours before subjecting the trims to heavy use or moisture.
⚠ Important: Do not attempt installation on cold or damp surfaces — adhesive performance is significantly reduced below 15°C. Avoid washing the vehicle interior for 48 hours post-installation to allow the bond to fully cure. These trims are designed specifically for the L551 Evoque and may not align correctly on any other model.
