Installation Notes

Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45–60 minutes

Secure the vehicle: Lift on axle stands or a lift. Ensure front wheels are clear and the steering is in the straight-ahead position.
Remove the wheel arch trim: Unclip and remove the plastic splash guard to access the sway bar and suspension strut.
Locate the existing link: The sway bar link connects the anti-roll bar to the suspension strut. You'll see a ball joint at each end.
Remove the old link: Using a 17mm socket and a counterhold with a wrench, unbolt both the upper (strut) and lower (bar) connections. Keep fasteners safe for reuse if condition permits.
Install the new link: Position the new assembly, align the ball joints, and thread the bolts hand-tight. Do not fully torque yet.
Torque to specification: Tighten both connections to 50–60 Nm (37–44 ft-lbf) using a calibrated wrench. Verify no movement or rocking.
Repeat on the opposite side: Follow the same process for the right sway bar link.
Reinstate trim: Refit the wheel arch splash guard and lower the vehicle to the ground.
Test drive: Complete a short test at low speed, listening for any clunking or abnormal sensation. Road test at normal speeds to verify handling response.

Critical torque spec: Do not exceed 60 Nm on ball joint fasteners. Over-tightening can strip threads or crush the rubber isolation bushing. Under-torque will result in rattle and accelerated wear.
