Installation Notes

- Clean the target area of your Discovery 5's dashboard thoroughly with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust, oils, and any residue. Allow to dry completely.
- If possible, warm the dashboard surface slightly using a hairdryer on a low setting — this improves adhesive bonding, particularly in cooler climates.
- Peel the backing from one side of the included double-sided adhesive tape and apply it firmly to the base of the silica gel unit.
- Peel the remaining backing from the tape, position the unit on the dashboard in your preferred location, and press down firmly for 30–60 seconds.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 1–2 hours before placing items in the storage box or mounting your phone.
⚠ Note: Ensure the chosen mounting position does not obstruct airbag deployment zones, ventilation vents, or any dashboard controls. Avoid installing in direct contact with high-heat surfaces such as defroster vents. Clean the surface thoroughly before installation — adhesion failure most commonly occurs on dusty or oily surfaces.
