- Thoroughly clean both side vent surfaces using an isopropyl alcohol wipe or equivalent degreaser. Remove any wax, polish residue, or road grime to ensure a strong adhesive bond.
- Allow the surface to dry completely. In cold conditions (below 10°C), gently warm the vent area with a heat gun or hair dryer — this improves 3M tape adhesion significantly.
- Dry-fit each cover trim to the vent without removing the tape backing. Confirm alignment and check that the profile sits flush against the vent housing on all edges.
- Peel the protective backing from the 3M tape. Carefully align the trim cover to the vent opening, pressing firmly from the centre outward to avoid trapping air bubbles beneath the panel.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the full surface for 30–60 seconds. For best results, avoid washing the vehicle for 24–48 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
