Disconnect battery negative terminal and allow engine to cool to room temperature.

Drain cooling system into a container. Dispose of old coolant responsibly.

Remove timing cover / serpentine belt as required by your model (refer to factory manual for sequence).

Unbolt old pump from timing case—typically 4–6 bolts. Mark bolt positions to confirm correct torque orientation.

Clean mating surface thoroughly with a gasket scraper. Remove all old gasket material and sealant residue.

Install new pump with integrated gasket face-down against timing case. Hand-thread bolts first to avoid cross-threading.

Torque to spec: Typically 25–30 Nm (18–22 ft-lbs) for smaller bolts. Consult your vehicle manual for exact sequence and final torque spec.

Reinstall timing cover, pulleys, and serpentine belt in reverse order. Tension belt to OE specification.

Refill cooling system with fresh OE coolant (e.g., Jaguar / Land Rover spec). Do not mix coolant types.

Bleed air pockets by running engine at idle with heater on full. Top up reservoir after thermal stabilization.
