Why This Hose Matters
The expansion tank lower hose on your Range Rover Evoque (2012–2018) or Discovery Sport (2015+) handles constant thermal cycling under pressure. When the original fails—cracking, leaking, or becoming brittle—coolant escapes, temperatures spike, and engine protection collapses. This genuine OEM-spec hose restores full cooling circuit integrity without compromise.
We stock this part because Evoque and Discovery Sport owners depend on reliable cooling in all climates, from desert heat to daily commute stress. Whether you're managing a slow weep or a catastrophic failure, this direct-replacement hose gets you back to baseline immediately.
Manufactured to original equipment specifications using automotive-grade rubber compound and precise fitment geometry, it resists high-temperature degradation and maintains pressure seal integrity across the full operating range of your 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine.

Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Time: 45–90 minutes
-
Disconnect the battery negative terminal and allow the cooling system to cool completely (minimum 30 minutes after engine shutdown).
-
Locate the expansion tank on the driver's side of the engine bay—it's translucent plastic with a filler cap and gauge markings.
-
Open the coolant drain plug at the radiator base and partially drain the system into a clean container to below hose level (no need to empty entirely).
-
Identify the lower hose connection running from the expansion tank to the radiator inlet or water pump housing.
-
Remove the hose clamp using a flathead screwdriver or hose clamp pliers, then slide the old hose free. Note: Expect minimal residual coolant spillage—have absorbent cloth ready.
-
Slide the new hose onto the connection points, pushing firmly until the hose seats fully (you should feel it reach the barbed fitting).
-
Reinstall the hose clamp and tighten to 8–10 Nm (6–7 ft-lbf)—snug but not over-tightened, which can crack the barb.
-
Refill the coolant with OEM Land Rover coolant (Motorcraft or equivalent) to the "MAX" line on the expansion tank.
-
Reconnect the battery negative terminal and start the engine. Allow it to idle for 2–3 minutes, watching for drips or leaks at both hose connections.
-
Perform a visual inspection once the engine reaches operating temperature (fan cycles on). Check for seeping or spray. Top up if needed.
⚠ Important: Never remove the expansion tank cap or radiator cap when the engine is hot—pressure release can cause severe burns. Always work on a cool system. If you encounter corrosion or difficulty removing the old hose, apply penetrating oil (5–10 minutes) before attempting removal. Do not reuse old hose clamps; discard and fit new stainless-steel clamps if originals show rust or damage.
