- Ensure the vehicle is parked safely with the engine off and cooled down fully before beginning work.

- Working from below, remove any lower undertray clips or screws that secure the front bumper assembly and allow access to the grille mounting points.
- Disconnect any adaptive cruise control or sensor connections if routed through or adjacent to the grille housing — photograph connector positions before removal.
- Carefully unclip and remove the factory grille from its mounting points, working from the centre outward to avoid flexing the surround.
