Installation Notes
Difficulty: Intermediate · Estimated Time: 60–90 Minutes
- Carefully remove the existing factory tailgate trim panel using a trim removal tool — work from the outer edges inward to avoid cracking the surround.
- Dry-fit the LED tailgate cover to confirm alignment and check panel gap consistency before committing to installation.
- Route the supplied wiring harness through the tailgate body to your chosen circuit — tail lights, brake feed, or ignition live. Ensure all routing is away from heat sources and moving components.
- Connect the wiring harness to your chosen feed using the included connectors. Test LED illumination before securing the panel.
- Secure the tailgate cover using the supplied clips and adhesive backing. Apply firm, even pressure across the surface and allow the adhesive to cure before closing the tailgate repeatedly.
- Confirm all wiring is secured and concealed. Test full LED function across tail light, brake, and (if used) ignition activation.
⚠ Professional Installation Recommended. Wiring into your vehicle's lighting circuit should be carried out by a competent auto electrician or experienced installer. Incorrect wiring may affect vehicle lighting systems. Always disconnect the battery before beginning any electrical work.
