Installation Notes

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental starter engagement.

Remove the serpentine belt cover (if equipped) and document the belt routing path using your factory diagram or phone photo.

Loosen the alternator bracket bolt slightly to release belt tension, or use a belt-routing tool to relieve load.

Remove the old belt by carefully sliding it away from all pulleys and components.

Inspect the alternator, power-steering pump, and water-pump pulleys for wear, cracks, or debris. Clean if necessary.

Replace the tensioner assembly (LR003651) by unbolting the old unit and installing the new one with thread-lock on fasteners.

Replace the idler pulley (LR004877) in the same manner. Ensure all bolts are torqued to spec (typically 18–25 Nm).

Install the new belt (LR000996) following your factory routing diagram exactly—incorrect routing causes rapid wear and charging system failure.

Manually rotate the engine two complete turns (clockwise only) via the crankshaft pulley to confirm the belt seats properly.

Reconnect the negative battery terminal and start the engine—listen for any squealing or grinding and verify the alternator charge light extinguishes.
