Overview
The Discovery LR3, Discovery LR4, and Range Rover Sport (2005–2013) rely on robust front suspension geometry to manage weight, articulation, and on-road stability. Over time, OEM stabilizer (sway) bar links—the critical connectors between the anti-roll bar and suspension arms—wear, corrode, or fail, introducing play into the steering response and a distinctive clicking or clunking sound during low-speed manoeuvres or over uneven terrain.
This pair of front stabilizer suspension sway bar links is engineered to match OEM specifications and performance. Supplied under Partsmost quality standards, each link features robust ball joints, corrosion-resistant construction, and precise fitment geometry to deliver direct steering feedback, eliminate unwanted noise, and restore the suspension's original stiffness and safety margin.
Whether you're preparing your Land Rover for daily commuting, weekend exploration, or serious off-road work, renewing worn suspension components ensures predictable handling, driver confidence, and longevity of other suspension parts. This is a straightforward, high-impact maintenance item for any Discovery or Range Rover Sport owner.

Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Moderate | Time: 45–90 minutes per side
-
Safety First: Engage the handbrake, raise the vehicle securely on jack stands, and remove the front wheel on the side being serviced.
-
Locate the Sway Bar Link: The link runs vertically between the anti-roll bar and the lower suspension arm, typically secured with castle nuts at both ends.
-
Remove the Old Link: Use a 16mm or 17mm spanner to hold the nut while breaking the bolt free with a socket and ratchet. Discard the old link.
-
Install the New Link: Position the new sway bar link in the correct orientation and thread the bolts hand-tight into the castle nuts.
-
Torque Specification: Tighten to 35–40 Nm (26–30 lbf·ft), then secure with new split pins if required. Do not over-tighten.
-
Repeat the Process: Remove the wheel, perform the same procedure on the opposite side.
-
Final Check: Reinstall wheels, lower the vehicle, and verify suspension movement and steering response before driving.
Important: Suspension work carries safety implications. If you lack mechanical experience, worn tools, or proper lifting equipment, have a qualified mechanic perform this work. Incorrect installation can affect steering, handling, and vehicle safety.
