Overview
The intake manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor is the engine control module's eyes into combustion chamber conditions. On your Discovery 4, Range Rover Vogue, Range Rover Sport, Velar, Discovery 5, and Jaguar XJ/XF/F-PACE 3.0L V6 engines—whether diesel or turbocharged gasoline—this sensor measures boost pressure and induction air density in real-time to optimise fuel injection timing, ignition advance, and emissions control.
A failing MAP sensor triggers high fuel consumption, hesitant throttle response, rough idle, and the check engine light. This is the genuine OEM-specification replacement (part numbers LR077148 / T4A12211) engineered to Land Rover and Jaguar factory tolerances. It restores precise engine management without adaptation or recalibration.
Partsmost brand quality, backed by a 12-month warranty and tested for 5V operating voltage stability. Direct fit to the throttle body junctions and intake manifold ports specified in your vehicle's diagnostic manual.

Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Time: 45–90 minutes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and allow the engine to cool completely.
- Locate the MAP sensor mounted on the intake manifold or throttle body (refer to your engine bay diagram).
- Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab and gently pulling away.
- Unscrew the retaining bolt (usually 10mm or Torx) and carefully remove the old sensor.
- Clean the sensor bore and O-ring seat with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or compress air directly into the port.
- Install the new sensor, ensuring the O-ring is seated correctly and free of debris.
- Torque the retaining bolt to 8–12 Nm (6–9 lb-ft). Do not over-tighten; plastic housing can crack.
- Reconnect the electrical connector until you hear a click.
- Reconnect the battery terminal and start the engine. The check engine light should clear within 2–3 cold-start cycles.
- If the light persists after 50 miles of mixed driving, clear the fault code using an OBD2 scanner (generic P0103, P0104 codes).
Critical: Do not touch the sensor diaphragm or insert any tools into the sensor bore. Do not apply silicone sealant or thread-locker to the bolt; use only the factory bolt with an integral washer.
