Installation Notes

Safety First: Allow the engine to cool completely. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Drain Coolant: Locate the radiator drain plug and drain the coolant into a clean container. Dispose of used coolant responsibly.

Remove Old Pipe: Unbolt the thermostat housing and disconnect hose clamps securing the water pipe to the engine block and radiator inlet.

Inspect Mating Surfaces: Clean the thermostat housing and engine block contact surfaces of old gasket material using a soft gasket scraper.

Install New Pipe: Position the new water pipe and secure with fresh hose clamps. Torque bolts to factory specification (typically 7–10 Nm for housing bolts).

Refill Coolant: Fill the radiator with the correct coolant blend (50/50 antifreeze to distilled water). Check owner's manual for spec.

Bleed Air: Run the engine at idle for 3–5 minutes with the radiator cap off. Top up as needed to remove air pockets.

Test & Monitor: Check for leaks around the new pipe and housing. Monitor coolant temperature on the dash for 10–15 minutes of steady driving.
