Installation Notes
Difficulty: Easy · Estimated Time: 10–15 minutes · Tools Required: None
- Park the vehicle and allow the bonnet to cool fully to ambient temperature before beginning installation.
- Use the included alcohol prep wipe to thoroughly clean the surface of each bonnet vent aperture. Remove all wax, polish residue, and road film. Allow to dry completely — approximately 60 seconds.
- Test-fit each vent slat trim against its corresponding aperture without removing the adhesive backing. Confirm alignment and orientation before committing.
- Peel the protective film from the 3M adhesive backing on the first trim. Position carefully within the vent aperture, starting from the centre and working outward.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the full length of the trim for a minimum of 30 seconds to activate the adhesive bond.
- Repeat for the second vent slat trim on the opposite side.
- Allow 24 hours before washing the vehicle or exposing the bonnet to heavy rain, to allow the adhesive to reach full cure strength.
⚠ Note: Do not attempt installation in direct sunlight or when ambient temperature is below 10°C, as this will reduce adhesive performance. For best results, install indoors or in a shaded area with a surface temperature between 15°C and 35°C.
