- Park the Defender on a level surface and allow the bumper to reach ambient temperature — avoid fitting in direct sunlight or below 10°C for optimal adhesive performance.
- Thoroughly clean the bumper and side trim mounting areas using an isopropyl alcohol wipe or panel wipe solution. Remove all wax, grease, and road film. Allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit each guard piece to confirm alignment and placement before removing the adhesive backing. Mark position lightly with a soft pencil or painter's tape if needed.
- Peel the protective liner from the pre-applied adhesive tape and carefully position each piece onto the bumper, pressing firmly from the centre outward to eliminate air pockets.
- Apply sustained firm pressure across the full surface of each piece for 30–60 seconds. Allow 24 hours of cure time before washing the vehicle or exposing to heavy rain.
⚠ Note: Ensure the bumper surface is completely free of moisture and residue before fitting. Fitting in cold or wet conditions may reduce initial adhesion. Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure about any step.
