- Thoroughly clean the rear light surround area on your Defender 110 using an IPA (isopropyl alcohol) wipe. Remove any wax, polish, or silicone residue. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
- Dry-fit the rear light frame against the vehicle without removing the adhesive backing. Confirm the profile aligns cleanly with the light unit perimeter and all panel gaps sit evenly.
- Mark your positioning reference points lightly with a removable marker or masking tape if needed — particularly at the outer corners.
- Peel the protective backing from the pre-applied adhesive tape. Avoid touching the adhesive surface with bare fingers.
- Starting from the centre, press the frame firmly into position, working outward toward each end. Apply firm, even pressure across the full surface for at least 60 seconds.
