- Ensure your vehicle is parked safely with the ignition switched off and the key removed before beginning any work near the steering column.
- Using a trim removal tool, carefully prise the existing steering wheel switch panels away from their housing — working from the edges inward to avoid cracking the surrounding trim.
- Locate the wiring connectors on the rear of each switch and gently disconnect them by pressing the release tab and pulling straight back — do not tug on the wiring itself.
- Compare the new switches against the originals to confirm orientation, then connect each new switch to its corresponding wiring plug until you hear or feel it click into place.
- Seat each switch panel back into the steering wheel housing, applying even pressure across the face until it sits flush and all retaining clips engage.
- Restore the ignition and test all switch functions — cruise control, media, volume, and voice commands — to confirm full operation before driving.
