Overview
If you own a Range Rover Sport L494, Discovery 4, or Jaguar XF with the 3.0L V6 diesel engine, the coolant inlet connecting pipe is part of your engine's vital thermal management circuit. This component handles the junction where coolant flows from the radiator into the engine block — it's small, but a failure means overheating, white smoke, and a bill you won't enjoy.
This Partsmost replacement is engineered to OEM tolerances (part numbers LR013165, JDE9014, 9X2Q-8A544-BA) and has zero fitment guesswork. It's a direct bolt-on for TDV6 engines across the full compatible model range. Built from durable thermoplastic and metal junction components, it matches the original's pressure rating and thermal cycling performance.
Designed for enthusiasts and garages alike — straightforward installation, excellent longevity, and backed by a 1-year warranty. If your engine has high mileage or you've spotted coolant seepage near the inlet manifold, this is your answer.

Installation Notes
⚙️ Difficulty: Moderate | Time: 45–90 minutes
-
Drain coolant system. Position a catch pan below the radiator drain plug and lower the system pressure to room temperature before opening any connections.
-
Locate inlet pipe. On the engine block, find the coolant inlet manifold connection. You'll see two bolt points and one hose barb attachment.
-
Disconnect old pipe. Remove the two M10 bolts (13mm socket) holding the existing pipe, and gently pull the assembly clear. Expect residual coolant spillage.
-
Clean mating surfaces. Wipe the engine block and inlet manifold flange with a lint-free cloth. No gasket is required — the new pipe seals directly to the metal faces.
-
Install new connector. Position the new tube connector and torque both bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft-lb) in a crosshatch pattern.
-
Reconnect coolant hose. Push the radiator hose onto the barbed outlet and secure with a stainless steel hose clamp (squeeze clamp or band type).
-
Refill and bleed. Top up the coolant reservoir with OEM spec fluid (Coolant Concentrate G12+). Refill to the cold-fill line, then run the engine at 2,000 rpm for 5 minutes to purge air. Check all connections for leaks.
-
Final check. Allow the engine to cool, then verify the reservoir level once more. No weeping or dripping should be visible at the bolt points.
⚠️ Critical: Do not open the coolant system while the engine is hot. Pressurized coolant can cause severe burns. Wait 30 minutes after shutdown. Use only OEM or equivalent G12+ spec coolant — mixing brands can cause corrosion.
