Overview
The serpentine belt on your Range Rover Discovery Sport, Evoque, Velar, or Jaguar XE/XF is engineered to run tight—and that's where the drive belt tensioner earns its keep. This critical component maintains consistent belt tension during cold starts, idle, and full-throttle acceleration, preventing slippage and power loss to alternator, water pump, and air conditioning.
Failure means alternator undercharge, overheating, and potential belt breakage on the motorway. This direct-fit OEM-specification tensioner restores factory belt tension and rides on a sealed roller bearing that outlasts aftermarket bolt-on designs. Built to Land Rover and Jaguar factory tolerances, it demands zero modification—drop it in and go.
Whether you're running a 2015+ Discovery Sport, 2016–2019 Evoque, 2018+ Velar, or 2015+ Jaguar XE/XF/F-Pace/E-Pace, this tensioner is your assured path to reliable belt operation and protected auxiliary components.

Installation Notes
Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45–90 minutes
-
Disconnect battery negative terminal and allow engine to cool for 20 minutes minimum.
-
Access the serpentine belt routing diagram (printed on radiator shroud or engine cover). Photograph or sketch it.
-
Remove serpentine belt using a breaker bar on the belt tensioner adjustment bolt—rotate clockwise to relieve tension.
-
Unbolt the old tensioner (typically 1–2 bolts, M12 or M14). Remove and set aside safely.
-
Install the new tensioner using factory bolt torque: 25–35 Nm. Ensure mounting surface is clean and dry.
-
Re-route and re-tension the serpentine belt per diagram. Use a belt tension gauge if available (preferred), or apply modest manual pressure to mid-belt span—deflection should be 6–10 mm under thumb force.
-
Reconnect battery, start engine, and run for 2 minutes. Listen for any belt chatter or chirp. If present, re-check tension and housing bolt tightness.
-
Road-test at varied RPM (1,200–4,000 rpm) for 15 minutes to confirm smooth belt tracking and no warning lights.
⚠️ Do not over-tension the belt. Excessive tension strains the alternator bearing and water pump seal, shortening their service life. Use a proper belt tension gauge if available. If belt slip occurs after 5 minutes of driving, stop immediately and re-tension.
Why Victorious Customers Choose This Tensioner
OEM Spec, No Compromise: We source direct from Tier-1 manufacturers who supply to Land Rover and Jaguar. Every tensioner is pressure-tested and bearing-certified before shipment.
Sealed Bearing Design: Unlike traditional split-ring tensioners, our sealed roller bearing resists moisture ingress and thermal cycling—critical in UK and European climates where humidity and temperature swing daily.
Factory Calibration: Spring rate and contact angle are matched precisely to the 2.0L Ingenium load curve. No guesswork, no fiddling with adjustment washers.
12-Month Full Warranty: Covers bearing wear, seal failure, and internal spring relaxation. Honored worldwide with no hassle.
Ready to Restore Belt Confidence?
A worn or failing drive belt tensioner isn't something to ignore. Alternator undercharge, water pump cavitation, and belt breakage are all real risks. Replace it now with factory-spec certainty.
