Installation Notes
🔧 Installation Overview — Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced | Estimated Time: 2–4 Hours
- Open and prop the existing factory bonnet safely. Disconnect any bonnet release cables, washer jet feeds, or wiring looped through the bonnet if applicable to your trim level.
- With a second person assisting, remove the OEM bonnet by unbolting the hinge points — typically four bolts per side. Keep hardware for re-use or alignment reference.
- Offer up the carbon fibre double scoop bonnet to the hinge positions. Do not fully tighten at this stage — leave bolts loose enough to allow fine adjustment.
- Close the bonnet carefully and check panel gaps on both sides against the front wings and grille surround. Adjust hinge positions as needed for even, symmetrical alignment.
- Once satisfied with fit and alignment, torque all hinge bolts to factory specification. Reconnect any cables or washer jets previously disconnected.
- Open and close the bonnet several times to confirm the latch engages cleanly and the bonnet sits flush at all four corners.
⚠ Important: Due to the size, weight distribution and alignment sensitivity of a full bonnet replacement, professional bodyshop installation is strongly recommended. Poor alignment can result in paint damage to adjacent panels. Always use a second person when handling and fitting.
