Installation

Disconnect the negative battery terminal and allow the engine to cool fully (at least 2 hours).

Remove the exhaust manifold bolts carefully in a cross pattern, starting from the center outward, to avoid warping.

Lift the manifold away gently from the cylinder head. Support with a jack or stand if needed.

Scrape and clean the gasket surface on both the manifold and cylinder head using a gasket scraper or soft brush. Remove all old gasket material and carbon.

Dry the surface completely with a lint-free cloth to ensure proper adhesion.

Position the new gasket carefully onto the cylinder head studs.

Reinstall the manifold and refit bolts, tightening in a cross pattern to 20–25 Nm (14–18 ft·lbf). Do not over-torque.

Reconnect the battery and start the engine. Check for exhaust leaks around the manifold for 5 minutes of idle.

Allow 30 minutes cool-down before re-checking the seal visually and by feel.
