Front Suspension Stabilizer Bar Bushes for Land Rover Freelander 2 – Precision OE-Spec Replacement

Restore factory-tight suspension geometry and eliminate sway bar rattle with premium aftermarket bushings engineered to OE specifications.

LR2 / Freelander 2 2006–2014 2.2 Diesel & 3.2 Petrol Suspension Bushes Front Axle Pair – Left & Right

Overview

The Land Rover Freelander 2 is a capable compact SUV built for both urban duty and light off-road work. Over time, the elastomer bushings on the front anti-roll bar (sway bar) degrade—causing clunking during cornering, reduced suspension precision, and unpredictable handling. This pair of OE-specification stabilizer bar bushes restores proper suspension linkage and eliminates play at the bar mounting points.

These are premium aftermarket replacements engineered to meet Land Rover's original equipment specifications (LR005649 & LR030743). Unlike worn-out factory bushings, new rubberised sleeves grip the anti-roll bar firmly, restoring the clean, responsive steering geometry your Freelander 2 originally had.

Direct bolt-on fitment. No modifications required. Pair includes both front left and right bushes, ready for professional or DIY installation.

Installation

Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30–40 minutes

  1. Safely raise the vehicle on level ground using a jack and axle stands. Do not work under an unsupported vehicle.
  2. Remove the wheel on the side you're working (optional, but recommended for clearance).
  3. Locate the anti-roll bar – it runs side-to-side across the front suspension between the control arms.
  4. Unbolt the mounting bracket using a socket wrench. You'll find two bolts per bush location. Support the bar with a prop as you remove the second bolt.
  5. Slide out the old bush from the mounting bracket. Note its orientation.
  6. Insert the new bush into the bracket, ensuring the rubber seats fully in the bracket recess. Align it the same way as the original.
  7. Reinstall the mounting bolts and torque to approximately 35 Nm. Tighten evenly.
  8. Repeat on the opposite side following steps 2–7.
  9. Refit the wheel(s) and torque wheel nuts to 110 Nm (specification for Freelander 2).
  10. Lower the vehicle slowly and perform a test drive at low speed to confirm smooth steering and no noise.
Safety: Always use jack stands. Never rely on a hydraulic jack alone. If you're unsure about any step, consult a qualified technician or call us for remote guidance.
