Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Beginner · Time Required: 20 minutes
- Open bonnet and locate headlight assembly mounting points on both sides.
- Position left guard over driver-side headlight, aligning screw holes with bodywork.
- Insert three stainless steel screws with washers (hand-tight first, then snug with Phillips screwdriver).
- Repeat for right guard on passenger side.
- Check alignment – guards should sit flush and level. Tighten all six screws evenly.
- Test fit by gently applying lateral pressure – no movement should occur.
Note: Do not over-tighten screws – aluminium is soft and threads can strip. Hand-snug + quarter-turn is sufficient. If your Defender's headlight surrounds are severely corroded, light surface cleaning with fine wire wool is recommended before installation.
