- Begin with the steering wheel in its neutral (straight-ahead) position to give yourself the best access to both paddle areas.
- Thoroughly clean the surface of the existing factory shift paddles using an isopropyl alcohol wipe. Allow to dry completely before proceeding — this ensures maximum adhesive bond strength.
- Carefully peel the protective backing from the pre-applied double-sided adhesive tape on the reverse of the new aluminum paddle.
- Align the new paddle precisely over the factory paddle, ensuring it sits flush with no overhang on either edge. Press firmly and hold for 30–60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond.
- Repeat the process for the second paddle on the opposite side of the steering wheel.
- Leave the vehicle undisturbed for at least 2 hours before driving to allow the adhesive to fully cure and achieve maximum hold.
⚠ Important: These paddles are designed to overlay the existing factory paddle extensions. If your L460 or L461 is fitted with a heated steering wheel or any non-standard column configuration, verify fitment before installation. Do not apply to dirty, oily, or wet surfaces as this will significantly reduce adhesive performance.
