Installation

Locate the crankcase vent valve on the top of the cylinder head or intake manifold (consult your service manual for exact position).

Disconnect the breather hose from the valve outlet by gently twisting and pulling.

Unbolt the valve using the appropriate socket or wrench—typically 10mm or 13mm.

Remove the old gasket or seal and clean the mounting surface thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.

Install the new gasket or seal on the new valve (usually pre-fitted).

Position the new valve and hand-tighten bolts to avoid cross-threading.

Torque bolts to 20–25 Nm (15–18 ft-lbs) in a star pattern for even pressure.
