Overview
The engine block to heater water hose is a critical component in your Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L494, or Land Rover Discovery 5's cooling system. This hose channels heated coolant from the engine block to the heater core, enabling cabin warmth and defroster function. Over time, factory hoses degrade due to thermal cycling, pressure fluctuations, and coolant chemistry, leading to leaks, reduced heat output, or complete failure.
Our Victorious replacement hose is manufactured to exact OEM specifications using premium silicone-reinforced rubber, matching the fitment and performance of Land Rover's original equipment. We supply either part number LR034616 (engine block to heater inlet hose) or LR034624 (heater water hose variant)—both tested for pressure rating, temperature range (−40°C to +120°C), and direct engine integration on your specific model year.
Installation is straightforward for most owners; disconnecting old hose, flushing the coolant circuit, and clipping the new hose into place takes 30–45 minutes. No special tools required—just standard wrenches and a coolant container. We include a 30-day money-back guarantee and full technical support by phone.

Installation Notes
Difficulty: Beginner–Intermediate | Time: 30–45 minutes
-
Safety First: Allow engine to cool completely (minimum 2 hours). Disconnect negative battery terminal.
-
Drain Coolant: Locate coolant drain plug on radiator or block; drain into a clean container for reuse or disposal.
-
Remove Old Hose: Unbolt or unclip hose clamps at engine block and heater valve. Gently pull hose free—some residual coolant will drain.
-
Flush Connections: Use a rag to clean corrosion or debris from block and heater inlet ports.
-
Route New Hose: Thread new hose along factory path, following existing cable ties and clips. Avoid sharp edges and moving components.
-
Secure Clamps: Slide hose clamps onto new hose and tighten at engine block and heater valve. Hand-tighten first, then use a screwdriver to secure (do not over-torque).
-
Refill Coolant: Refill reservoir with original coolant mix. Start engine and check for leaks while running 2–3 minutes.
-
Bleed Air: Pause, allow to cool slightly, and top up reservoir if needed. Air pockets in cooling lines will self-bleed over normal operation.
-
Reconnect Battery: Reinstall negative terminal; vehicle will relearn immobiliser settings on next start.
-
Final Check: Run heater on full; verify warm air from cabin vents within 60 seconds of engine warming.
⚠ Important: Never open coolant cap on a hot engine. Use genuine or OEM-equivalent coolant only (blue, orange, or pink mixtures—confirm with your manual). If coolant smells sweet or you spot puddles under the vehicle within 24 hours, stop driving immediately and contact our technical team.
Ready to Restore Heat & Reliability
A failed heater hose is more than a comfort issue—it can accelerate engine wear and reduce defroster function in winter. Our OEM-spec replacement restores factory performance and gives you confidence on long journeys.
