Installation Notes

Difficulty: Intermediate · Time: 45–90 minutes per axle · Tools: Socket set, torque wrench, wire crimper, ABS diagnostic scanner (recommended)
- Raise vehicle on a lift or secure jack stands. Remove wheel and brake components as needed to access sensor mounting bracket.
- Locate sensor wiring harness and carefully disconnect the 2-pin connector. Note wire polarity for reassembly.
- Remove mounting bolt (typically 13mm or 15mm socket) and slide sensor from bracket. Note spring tension on sensing coil.
- Clean sensor bore and bracket of corrosion or debris using a soft brush. Do not immerse sensor in water or solvents.
- Insert new sensor into bracket, align connector orientation, and reinstall mounting bolt to factory torque spec (typically 6–8 Nm for Land Rover).
- Reconnect 2-pin harness, ensuring positive and negative terminals match original configuration. Use supplied connector sheath or self-isolating tape.
- Repeat process for remaining sensors (front and rear, left and right as needed).
- Lower vehicle, clear any ABS fault codes using a Land Rover diagnostic tool (e.g., IDS or Pathfinder), and perform a test drive to verify ABS and traction control function.
⚠️ Important: Never force the sensor into the bracket. If resistance is felt, stop immediately and inspect for cross-threading or contamination. Improper installation may damage the sensing element.
