Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Beginner | Time: 5–10 minutes
- Power off the ignition and allow the cabin to cool to room temperature.
- Gently clean the area around the start–stop button with a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol. Allow 2 minutes to dry completely.
- Carefully peel back one aluminum trim surround from its backing card. Do not touch the adhesive side.
- Align the trim over the ignition button, ensuring the cutout matches the button perimeter exactly.
- Press firmly for 10 seconds, starting from the center and working outward to eliminate air bubbles.
- Repeat steps 3–5 for the second trim (opposite side or complementary position, depending on your model).
- Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to reach full cure strength before using the ignition button.
Important: If you're uncomfortable removing interior trim panels, have a professional Jaguar technician complete the installation. The adhesive is permanent; once applied, removal may damage the underlying plastic.
