Installation Notes
Difficulty: Easy · Estimated Time: 30–60 Minutes · Tools Required: Trim removal tool, flathead screwdriver
- Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off and fully cooled before beginning work.
- Open the bonnet and carefully release the OEM grille retaining clips from behind the front bumper assembly using a trim removal tool.
- Gently pull the existing grille forward and away from the bumper aperture — take care not to stress the surrounding paintwork.
- If transferring your OEM Range Rover badge, remove it carefully from the original grille using a trim tool or heat gun set to low.
- Align the new L460-style grille with the bumper aperture, ensuring all mounting tabs correspond with the OEM clip positions.
- Press the grille firmly into place until all clips engage with an audible click — confirm a flush, rattle-free fitment on all sides.
- Reattach your OEM badge to the designated badge recess on the new grille, pressing firmly until seated.
- Close the bonnet and step back to inspect the fitment from distance — adjust as needed before driving.
Important: This grille is designed specifically for the 2018–2021 L405 facelift generation only. Attempting to fit this to a pre-2018 L405 or any other Range Rover model may result in an incompatible fit.
