- With the vehicle off and cabin at room temperature, thoroughly clean the factory shift panel frame surface using an isopropyl alcohol wipe. Remove all grease, dust, and fingerprints, then allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the carbon fiber overlay over the panel without removing the adhesive backing. Confirm alignment and confirm the overlay seats flush with no gaps or misalignment.
- Starting from one corner, carefully peel back a portion of the adhesive liner. Align that corner precisely to the factory panel edge and press down firmly.
- Continue peeling the liner progressively while pressing the overlay down in sections, working across the panel to avoid air pockets or misalignment.
- Once fully seated, apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface for 30–60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond. Pay particular attention to edges and corners.
- Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before cleaning the surface or exposing it to moisture.
⚠ Important: Do not attempt installation in cold conditions below 10°C — adhesive performance is significantly reduced at low temperatures. Pre-warming the panel surface gently with a heat gun or hair dryer on a low setting will improve bond strength in cooler environments. Do not stretch or force the panel during fitting.
