- Begin with a clean, dry interior. Remove any dust or grease from the existing speaker surrounds using an isopropyl alcohol wipe — this is the single most important step for a lasting bond.
- Allow the cleaned surfaces to dry completely for at least 2–3 minutes before proceeding.
- Dry-fit each cover to its corresponding speaker surround to confirm position and orientation before committing to adhesion.
- Peel back the protective film from the pre-applied adhesive tape on the first cover, aligning it carefully with the speaker surround before pressing into place.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the full surface of each cover for 30–60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond.
- Repeat for all remaining covers, working systematically around the cabin.
- Allow the adhesive to fully cure for a minimum of 24 hours before exposing the covers to moisture or extreme temperatures.
⚠ Note: Avoid installation in temperatures below 10°C — cold surfaces significantly reduce the initial adhesive bond strength. If your Defender has been stored in a cold garage, allow the interior to warm up to ambient room temperature before fitting.
