- Park the Defender on a level surface and allow the engine to cool completely before beginning any work.
- Remove the factory A-pillar trim panel from the driver's side (or passenger's side depending on your market configuration) to access the mounting area.
- Route the intake hose from the engine airbox up through the A-pillar channel, using the provided clamps and seals to create an airtight connection at each joint.
- Position the snorkel body against the A-pillar and align the pre-drilled mounting points with the corresponding body locations — no drilling is required on the vehicle.
- Secure the snorkel using the supplied hardware, ensuring all bolts are torqued evenly to prevent panel stress or flex under off-road vibration.
- Refit the A-pillar trim and confirm the snorkel head is positioned correctly to face forward and away from direct rain ingestion.
- Start the engine and inspect all hose connections for any air leaks before taking the vehicle off-road.
