- Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off and fully cooled before beginning work.
- Open the bonnet and locate the upper grille retention clips along the top edge of the grille surround — typically four to six clips depending on trim level.
- Using a plastic trim removal tool, carefully release each clip in sequence, working from one side to the other to avoid uneven stress on the surround.
- With the upper clips released, gently pull the grille forward from the top edge to disengage the lower retaining tabs. Do not force — if resistance is felt, check for any remaining clips before proceeding.
- Remove the factory grille fully and set aside. Compare fitment points on the new SVO-style mesh grille against the OEM unit to confirm alignment.
- Offer the new grille into position, engaging the lower tabs first, then pressing the upper edge firmly until all clips click securely into place.
- Close the bonnet and inspect the grille from distance to confirm even alignment across both sides of the fascia.
⚠ Note: Always use a plastic trim removal tool rather than metal implements to avoid scratching the bumper surround. If your vehicle features a front camera or active grille shutters, confirm these components are unobstructed after fitment. If in any doubt, consult a qualified automotive technician.
