Installation

- Clean the tailgate surface with automotive soap and dry thoroughly. Use isopropyl alcohol on the adhesive area to remove any residue or wax.
- Test-fit the strip cover on the tailgate dry, ensuring alignment with factory lines and equal spacing on both sides.
- Once satisfied with position, mark placement lightly with masking tape or a marker for reference.
- Apply automotive-grade adhesive (included or specified) to the back of the strip cover according to product instructions. Work in sections if needed.
- Carefully position the strip cover against the tailgate, aligning with your marks. Press firmly along the entire length, working from centre outward to eliminate air pockets.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully (typically 24 hours) before opening the tailgate or subjecting the cover to vibration or moisture.
- Inspect seams and edges. If any lifting occurs post-installation, reapply adhesive and clamp lightly until set.
Important: Do not open the tailgate or expose the cover to water for at least 24 hours after installation. Temperature should remain above 10°C during cure. If tailgate requires removal or service in future, consult a professional to avoid damaging the cover.
