Installation Notes
Difficulty: Beginner — Estimated Time: 30–60 Minutes
- Confirm your Boxster's PCM system has a NAVI button on the control panel. If your car features a CD-AUX button instead, this adapter is not compatible — please contact us before ordering.
- If your vehicle has Sirius Satellite Radio installed, contact us prior to ordering — we will include the additional screws needed to accommodate this fitment.
- Remove the factory PCM3.1 unit following standard Porsche trim removal procedures (no cutting or permanent modification required).
- Connect the adapter's CAN-Bus harness to the factory wiring loom using the included plug-and-play connector.
- Route and secure the dedicated external microphone — this replaces the original mic, as the factory microphone is integrated with the SOS emergency system.
- Reassemble the trim, power on the system, and follow the on-screen pairing guide to connect your iPhone or Android device.
⚠ Important: A dedicated external microphone is included and must be used. The factory microphone is integrated into Porsche's SOS emergency system and cannot be repurposed for CarPlay calls without compromising that functionality.
